NEW YORK, N.Y. – Pinnacle Peak Pictures and Alliance Home Entertainment announce the DVD and Digital release of “Karen Kingsbury’s The Christmas Ring.” The holiday romance will be available on Digital November 28th and DVD on December 9th. 

While searching for her long-missing family Christmas ring, Vanessa (Jana Kramer, Friday Night Lights), meets antique dealer Ben (Benjamin Hollingsworth, Virgin River).  Ben’s work takes him to Vanessa’s hometown, scouring local shops for Christmas finds, and along the way their new friendship is blossoming into something more.  But there’s a problem neither one knows about: Ben’s father Howard (Kelsey Grammer, Frasier) has purchased a box of antiques that includes Vanessa’s missing Christmas ring, and with no idea the importance of the heirloom, plans to sell it.  Now it will take a miracle for all of them to understand that where the treasure is, there your heart will be also.

After opening in theaters across the US on November 6th, the film received a 97% score on the Rotten Tomatoes Popcornmeter, with verified audience reviews calling it “the best way to start the holiday season” and calling out the theme of the film – “opening your heart up to love again, of never giving up hope.”

The film also includes a touching tribute to members of the US military and their families, and even employed nearly 100 active duty and veterans as background actors. Shedding a light on what it means to be a “Gold Star” military wife, “Karen Kingsbury’s The Christmas Ring” does not shy away from the weight and honor that comes with the title.

“Karen Kingsbury’s The Christmas Ring” is based on the Kingsbury novel of the same name and was written for the screen by Karen Kingsbury and Tyler Russell. Russell also serves as Director and Producer, alongside Kingsbury, Natalie Ruffino Wilson, and Kyler Wilson. The film stars Jana Kramer (One Tree Hill, Friday Night Lights), Benjamin Hollingsworth (Virgin River), Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), and making her acting debut is CMT Nominated Country Singer Jessie James Decker.
