Congratulations to client David Bellamy on his induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame last night. He’s written No. 1 songs in each of the past 6 decades, including my favorite “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” originally scrawled on a dinner napkin! It proved to be the first of a string of 14 No. 1 singles in the U.S. alone for The Bellamy Brothers. It’s such an honor to represent them.

Cyrus holds the worldwide record as a co-writer on the best-selling RIAA 14x Diamond-certified song of all-time, “Old Town Road,” which still reigns as the longest Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 record for 19 consecutive weeks. Cyrus will also release “Remember Why You’re Here” on Nov. 22 that he co-wrote with James Slater.

Following his high-octane performance during the Music at the Intersection festival, Mayor Tishaura Jones honored GRAMMY® nominated multi-platinum entertainer, CHINGY, with a City of St. Louis proclamation for his outstanding contributions to the music industry and his continued support of his hometown. The presentation took place Saturday, Sept. 14 on stage after CHINGY performed.

“St. Louis is my city. It’s my home. It’s whurr I grew up, got my start performing as a kid and whurr I live today. Thank you Mayor Jones for yurr kindness and support!” CHINGY said.

“St. Louis is home to so many world-renowned musical artists, including CHINGY,” said Mayor Tishaura O. Jones. “I’m proud of our music scene and thankful for the opportunity to support and recognize artists who contribute so much to the vibrancy of our city.”

Music at the Intersection, a festival celebrating St. Louis’ rich music heritage, included a stellar lineup of artists, including CHINGY, as well as Black Pumas, Chaka Khan and many more blues, jazz, soul, R&B, hip-hop, and rock n’ roll artists.

Dennis Quaid’s REAGAN crossed the $20 million mark in box office sales on Thursday, heading into its third weekend, having surpassed rival presidential biopics LBJ and Nixon, with Oliver Stone’s $25m W in its sights. The first wide release from the recently launched ShowBiz Direct will head into week three virtually unchanged in its screen count with a robust 2,450 screens showing the film.

REAGAN held on to third place throughout its second week, heading into the weekend, after surprising industry observers by doubling in its first frame.

Moviegoers gave the film an A CinemaScore and the gap between professional film critics and moviegers widened further to a staggering 80%, with fans giving the film a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Popcornmeter while critics fell further to 18%, making it the film with the greatest gap between critics and fans in the history of Hollywood theatrical films, surpassing the previous record of 65% held by “The Boondock Saints.”

Dennis Quaid’s “REAGAN” surprised box office watchers with a $9.2 million opening weekend!

Moviegoers gave the film an “A” CinemaScore and a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes in sharp contrast to the Rotten Tomatoes critics score at 19%. That 79% chasm makes it the film with the greatest gap between critics and fans in the history of Hollywood theatrical films, surpassing the previous record of 65% held by “The Boondock Saints” which was favored by 91% of fans and 26% of critics.
