Premier independent festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents continues to show its love for Louisville with a third addition to a massive fall festival series in the one-of-a-kind city. Hometown Rising, the first-ever Country Music & Bourbon Festival, will make its debut Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15 at Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center, combining two of Louisville’s cultural cornerstones—great music and incredible bourbon.

Billboard No. 1 artist Dustin Collins honors the "Workin' Man" with his new song available today. Kentucky Country Music exclusively premiered a first listen to the track penned by Collins, which "will easily get you dancing to the beat and singing along by the end of it (Kentucky Country Music/Jessica Bray)." Fastline, a Kentucky-based farm and construction equipment resource, selected 'Workin' Man" for the theme song of their new podcast Fastline Fast Track, hosted by 24-year veteran broadcaster and journalist, Brent Adams. Along with conversations between agricultural industry newsmakers, the episodes also feature up-and-coming and legendary country music artists on "The Legends Stage," presented by the Ernest Tubb Record Shop.

GENE WATSON ANNOUNCES 2019 TOUR DATES

With 15 minutes remaining in a studio session led by Country Music Hall of Famer Harold Bradley, Gene Watson decided to record "Farewell Party," a song he'd been performing on the road for years. The track, recorded in one take and released as the second single off Watson's album Reflections in 1979, soon became the country legend's signature song. To celebrate the milestone anniversary, Watson is hitting the road performing his catalogue of hits which includes his new single "Build My Mansion (Next Door to Jesus)" featuring The Isaacs.
