LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Fresh off the release of her debut single, “Push Our Luck,” “America’s Got Talent” winner Darci Lynne will appear as a presenter on the 31st annual Movieguide® Awards. The show airs this Thursday, March 7 at 8 p.m. ET on Great American Family. For viewing information, click HERE.
As recently revealed on “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League,” Darci is pursuing her passion for singing and songwriting. With “Push Our Luck,” Darci “chronicled some of her real-life experiences into song (American Songwriter).”
“Push Our Luck” was written by Darci with Maggie McClure and Shane Henry, a husband-and-wife duo known as The Imaginaries. The Imaginaries also produced the track at Yackland Studios in Nashville. All Oklahoma natives, Darci and The Imaginaries first collaborated on their feature film, “A Cowgirl’s Song,” currently on Netflix.
People.com exclusively premiered the video for “Push Our Luck,” which Darci also wrote, executive produced and stars in, noting that the video “not only showcases Darci’s acting talents, but also features her performing on stage.” Directed by Reagan Elkins with Intellego Media, the video was filmed in Chickasha, Okla. and Oklahoma City.
The youngest contestant to ever win “America’s Got Talent” garnering over 67 million views on the show’s YouTube and the most votes for a final performance in the history of the show, Darci won the hearts of America with her sweetheart disposition and undeniable talent. She would follow that 2017 win with her highly rated 2018 NBC Christmas special “My Hometown Christmas” featuring guests Toby Keith and Kristin Chenoweth, and place second in the AGT spin-off “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”—all while juggling middle school and a successful 50-stop U.S. tour generating more than 100,000 in ticket sales and grossed $5.2 million.
The young entertainer has been credited with changing the face and popularity of ventriloquism, turning the art form into a female-driven force thanks to her talent and extreme social media influence (8 million followers). During high school, she launched her “My Lips Are Sealed (Except When They’re Not) Tour!” featuring four of her original songs, headlined the Mirage in Las Vegas, sold out the Ryman twice, performed at the Opry multiple times, and co-starred in the 2022 film “A Cowgirl’s Song” featuring one of her original songs “Just Breathe.”
From “TODAY” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show’ to the Ryman and the Grand Ole Opry, she has handled the spotlight with grace, professionalism and excitement that has built an ever-growing international fanbase. Now 19, Darci is poised to climb the charts with her music while staying true to her roots and herself. With another single ready to drop and more music and public appearances on the horizon, it’s full steam ahead for the creative powerhouse.
