NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Bellamy Brothers, Matt Mathews, Kerri Kasem, Mae Estes, and more are rocking up to support Horses for Mental Health (HMH) to amplify awareness for mental health programs incorporating horses during Mental Health Awareness Month (May 1-31).
(HMH) is launching the fourth annual Seen Through Horses Campaign, fueled by passionate people, non-profits, mental health specialists, celebrities, philanthropists, influencers, and businesses, helping to increase awareness and raise critical funds to improve access to programs harnessing the transformative power of the horse-human connection to revolutionize mental well-being.
This year’s campaign brings together HMH’s largest coalition yet: 95 Charity Partners and 19 Premier Partners across the U.S., Canada, and Ireland.
Driven by a bold mission since its launch in 2022, the trailblazing campaign has raised $1 million for nonprofit partners—fueling services that connect people to healing through horses. The initiative has supported 205 organizations across 45 states, provided services to over 225 veterans and members of the Armed Forces, mobilized 882 fundraising volunteers, inspired 3,926 donors, and reached more than 58 million people through media and awareness efforts.
Cowboys Howard and David Bellamy of the multi award-winning duo The Bellamy Brothers have long loved their horses co-starring in their new reality series “Honky Tonk Ranch,” and their iconic song “Let Your Love Flow” was featured along with a beautiful Clydesdale foal in a recent Budweiser Super Bowl ad.
“We’ve lived on our family ranch in Darby, Florida for over 150 years. It’s not just home—it’s where we raise Brahman cattle, quarter horses, and even record our music. Horses have always been a part of our healing and our heritage. That’s why we’re proud to support the Horses for Mental Health campaign this May. There’s real peace in the saddle.
— Howard & David Bellamy

“My mom always said, ‘If we didn’t have horses, we’d be so much richer, but without them our souls would be so much poorer!’… I need them for my soul for sure,” says Matt Mathews, who is also an incredible barrel racer who has qualified for 3 World Championships. “I’m happy to join the Seen Through Horses Campaign because there is not enough talk and awareness for mental health issues. So many mental health issues are swept under the rug, and the truth is, hanging around horses is super relaxing. People don’t realize how therapeutic they are! I actually built a barn under my house!”
