NASHVILLE, Tenn. – This Sunday, December 15, country music icon Tanya Tucker will kick off the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans game by performing the national anthem as the two teams fight for the top spot in the AFC South. The game will be broadcasted on CBS at 12:00 p.m. CT. The Titans and Texans are entering Week 15 tied for first in the AFC South division.

Tucker will be accompanied by a flyover of F-16s from the 149th Fighter Wing’s Lone Star Gunfighters, from Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The unit is part of the Air National Guard and the Texas Military Department.

Tucker’s national anthem performance caps off a career renaissance of a year with her first album in 17 years, While I’m Livin’, securing four GRAMMY® Award nominations including Song Of The Year: “Bring My Flowers Now,” Best Country Album: While I’m Livin’, Best Country Solo Performance: “Bring My Flowers Now,” and Best Country Song: “Bring My Flowers Now.” The four nominations lead all 2020 Country GRAMMY® nominees.

This week, Tucker announced the first slate of 2020 tour dates for the CMT Next Women of Country: Bring My Flowers Now Tour with opening acts Brandy Clark, Aubrie Sellers, Madison Kozak, Erin Enderlin, Hailey Whitters, Walker County and more to be announced.  Kicking off February 5, Tucker will make stops in major cities including Boston, Dallas, New York, Ontario and more, with additional tour dates and special guests to be revealed at a later date. Fans can sign up for early access to presale tickets on TanyaTucker.com. Tickets are on-sale beginning Friday, December 13 at 10:00 am CT at TanyaTucker.com.

Tucker’s While I’m Livin’, which The New Yorker declares, “captures one of America’s great vocalists at her peak,” and Rolling Stone calls “a stunning exuberant album that ranks among the year’s best,” is produced by Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings and marks Tucker’s first for Fantasy Records and Sawyer & Garner Management. The record is her first Top Ten debut and tenth Top 10 album.

Born in Seminole, Texas, Tanya had her first country hit, the classic “Delta Dawn,” at the age of 13 in 1972. Since that auspicious beginning Tucker has become one of the most admired and influential artists in country music history, amassing 23 Top 40 albums and a stellar string of 56 Top 40 singles, ten of which reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard country charts. Tucker’s indelible songs include some of country music’s biggest hits such as the aforementioned “Delta Dawn,” “Soon,” “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane,” “It’s a Little Too Late,” “Trouble,” “Texas (When I Die),” “If It Don’t Come Easy” and “Strong Enough To Bend.” Tucker is also the recipient of numerous awards, including two CMAs, two ACMs, three CMT awards and 10 GRAMMY nominations.
