NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising songstress, Olivia Ooms, will share her “passionate lyrics” and “distinctive pop-country sound” (LA Times/Ashley Ramynke) on “Good Morning LaLa Land” as she performs her latest single “California Country” live at 9 a.m. PT on Thursday, Sept. 12.
The Huntington Beach native co-wrote “California Country” with ACM Award-winner Jamie O’Neal, who also produced the track that has amassed over 36,000 streams across all streaming platforms. The catchy release “takes surf city to the deep south” (OC Weekly/Matt Coker) as Ooms combines her coastal roots and southern sound.
“California Country” follows the singer-songwriter’s latest single “Thoughts of You,” which landed Ooms a spot in CMT’s Artist Discovery Program, a performance on CMA’s Spotlight Stage during CMA Fest and placement on Radio Disney’s RDYou Station.
Ooms regularly performs at venues throughout her home state with her band Highway 39. The emerging entertainer also spends a lot of time on the road, most recently opening for The Swon Brothers and John Fullbright at the Oklahoma Festival of Ballooning. As an opener for country music acts such as Lady Antebellum, Old Dominion and country music icon Tanya Tucker, Ooms has established herself as an artist whose boots are here to stay.
