Billy Ray Cyrus Celebrates 19 Weeks No .1, Only Country Artist Nominated for MTV VMA Awards
Billy Ray Cyrus is celebrating 19 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre chart with Lil Nas X's “Old Town Road Billy Ray Cyrus Remix." Cyrus also happens to be the only country artist nominated for the upcoming MTV VMA Awards, with seven nominations. “Thank you everybody! This is YOUR song! YOU took this song to the top and kept it there," Cyrus shared. The global superstar, from Flatwoods, Ky, hot streak continues with the announcement that he's co-hosting the 2019 Canadian Country Music Awards September 8. Recently, Cyrus released his new single, "Chevys and Fords," with fellow BBR Music Group/BMG artist Johnny McGuire.

Piano-pounding country hitmaker Phil Vassar will perform his iconic hits on "Fox & Friends" this Friday, July 19 as part of their "All-American Summer Concert Series." 2019 marks 20 years since the release of Vassar's debut single "Carlene," which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart and No. 45 on Billboard Hot 100. The single was the first release off Vassar's debut, self-titled album and was followed by his first No. 1 hit "Just Another Day in Paradise." Since then Vassar has achieved 10 No. 1 singles, 15 Top 10 hits and 27 Top 40 singles throughout his 20-year solo career. The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) and Global are proud to announce that reigning CCMA Male Artist of the Year Dallas Smith and singer/songwriter and worldwide entertainment icon hailing from Flatwoods, Kentucky, Billy Ray Cyrus, are co-hosting the 2019 CCMA Awards presented by TD. The 2019 CCMA Awards will air live on Global from Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome on September 8 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.
