GRAND OLE OPRY MEMBER GENE WATSON SET TO HOST TWO-HOUR OPRY “HOUSE GUEST DJ” SPECIAL AT WILLIE’S ROADHOUSE ON SIRIUSXM
After an introduction on stage by Opry announcer Eddie Stubbs, who claimed him as one of the most respected voices in country music history, Gene Watson became a member of the Grand Ole Opry this February before the novel coronavirus pandemic shut down live performances. As the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry, Watson will host a two-hour special as an Opry "House Guest DJ" at WIllie's Roadhouse on SiriusXM. Watson will share with listeners stories from his more than 50 years performing on the Opry stage. The country legend hand-picked some of his favorite songs recorded by his friends and fellow Opry members, as well as from his own extensive catalogue. Watson's set as an Opry "House Guest DJ" at Willie's Roadhouse on SiriusXM will premiere Friday, August 21 at 9 p.m. EST on Channel 59 and re-air throughout the weekend.

LUCAS HOGE RELEASES VIDEO FOR “WISHIN’ I WAS FISHIN'”
Billboard No. 1 charting artist and passionate outdoorsman, Lucas Hoge, takes viewers to "far-flung locales all over the world" (Taste of Country / Sterling Whitaker) in his new video "Wishin' I Was Fishin.'" The video features the "Hoge Wild" host fishing throughout the globe with filming locations spanning from New Zealand, Montana, Mexico, California and Tennessee. The single is the latest release from Hoge and packs a special sentiment for the singer, who co-wrote the song with Phillip Lammonds, as a tribute to his father and their shared affinity for mother nature.

Sitting in his living room bar at a grand piano, Phil Vassar will make fans feel like they’re hanging at a retro piano bar beginning Tuesday, August 25 at 7 p.m. CST. That’s when the award-winning singer-songwriter will begin a new virtual series, Piano Bar, a one hour, bi-weekly live-streamed show, where Vassar will cover well-known, beloved artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, James Taylor, Jackson Brown, Kenny Rogers and more. Vassar will also take fan requests via social media. Piano Bar tickets are $15 or $35 with a t-shirt.
