Single Exclusively Premieres with Vents Magazine

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  Paying for studio time with a 40-ounce of malt liquor and a set of brass knuckles, Nashville rock band Voltagehawk released their debut single “Modern Gasoline,” which exclusively premiered on Vents Magazine. Click HERE to download “Modern Gasoline.”

“We’re excited to showcase the most true example of what Nashville Rock is all about. Voltagehawk is an incredibly talented group of seasoned rockers,” said Scott Thomas, CEO Poison Tree Records.

Rising from the ashes of former projects, East Nashville Rockers Jarrad James and Dan Fenton set out to start a new project to fill a void for loud, fast rock ‘n’ roll in Nashville. Calling on an old friend and bass fiddleman, Tyler Boone, the band quickly set the rule that the word “no” was not welcome in the creative space. Guitar slinger and purveyor of all things tone, Chase Arrocha, however, was very welcome.

“I have been in recording studios since I was a teenager and this was the most connected and inspired I have felt to the recording process,” said the band’s vocalist and guitarist Dan Fenton. “Singing “Modern Gasoline” into an array of vintage mics in Roger Allen Nichols vibey vocal booth at Bell Tone Recording while staring at a skeleton model and some psychedelic vintage wallpaper definitely helped me embody this trippy cinematic ride!”

Voltagehawk blends the sound and stylings of two New York punk rockers, a classically trained guitarist and a rhythm keeper from the delta. “Modern Gasoline” takes you on a sonic journey through hard hitting drum beats, groovy bass lines, searing guitar riffs that will blow your mind and hauntingly beautiful vocals that will move your soul.

Voltagehawk is set to release their debut album on Poison Tree Records. The band recorded at Starstruck Studios on Music Row, and the album was mastered by Brian Lucey at Magic Garden Mastering (The Black Keys, Marilyn Manson, Shania Twain, Cage The Elephant).
