NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Oklahoma native Mikayla Lane owned the stage this past weekend at Troy Aikman’s Highway To Henryetta music festival, which was created by Aikman to benefit his hometown high school’s academic and athletic programs. The festival was headlined by country icon Blake Shelton with additional performances from Pat Green, Josh Abbott Band and Stoney LaRue among others.

“This was my first festival performance and I was honored to have shared the stage with such incredible acts who I really look up to. The rush I got from performing was crazy, but even more, because the audience was giving back that same energy! It was an amazing experience,” Mikayla shared.

Mikayla caught the eye of Shelton at the tender age of 13 when she was added to his OIe Red talent roster and now that relationship has come full circle as the two performed at Aikman’s inaugural festival. Mikayla performed two sets during the event, which “doubled the energy level when she was onstage (Tulsa World)” and also performed a song with George Dunham and the Bird Dogs during their set.
