NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Edgy, rock-driven rising country artist Jacob Bryant releases the emotionally impactful music video to go along with his introspective single, “Devil & an Old Six String,” today. CMT.com exclusively premiered the “moody and brooding” video for the song that “combines his bluegrass, classic country and southern rock influences (Cindy Watts).” The video, which was produced by Dustin Haney (Luke Combs, Mitchel Tenpenny), captures the raw emotions within Bryant’s lyrics in the stark and simplistic warehouse setting where the video was shot.

“Devil & an Old Six String” is the most recent single released from Bryant’s forthcoming album, Bar Stool Preacher, slated for release on Jan. 14 from Thirty Tigers and American Roots Records. Pre-order the album HERE and instantly receive “Devil & an Old Six String” as well as “Amen,” “Can’t Say No to You,” “Baptized by the River” and “Good Ol’ Boy (UK Rock Remix).” Bryant will give fans another glimpse into the depth of his upcoming album with his next single, “Heartbeat,” available this Friday, Nov. 19.

People.com exclusively premiered the first listen to “Devil & an Old Six String,” which Bryant, whose songwriting catalog includes a collaboration with Luke Combs, co-wrote with Jami Grooms. “This country star is singing from experience. The single reflects his past struggles, as it starts with soft acoustics and eventually kicks up in tempo when he sings the heartfelt chorus,” lauded People.com’s Daniela Avila.

After losing his mother in 2010, the budding singer-songwriter battled depression and anxiety, self-medicated with alcohol and cocaine and ultimately suffered a heart attack at the age of just 19, but he transformed the pain into passion. “Music is healing. As simple as that sounds, the process of creating my art about the life experiences I have had is my therapy,” Bryant explained. “From writing the songs, recording, mixing and mastering to finally seeing a finished product in my hands has been extremely therapeutic for me.”

Produced by Bryant, Jesse Triplett, Brandon Metcalf, Noah Gordon and Jeff Catton, Bar Stool Preacher was recorded at South X Sea Studios in Nashville. The 13-song collection stays true to Bryant’s trademark, deeply personal style that has built an eager fan base and caught the attention of industry heavyweights like Thirty Tigers. The global music marketing, management, distribution, and publishing company inked its deal with Bryant and American Roots Records earlier this month. “I think Jacob has it in him to be a major star, and I’m proud that he and his team picked us to help him realize his promise,” shared Thirty Tigers President David Macias.
