“We shot the video in Ocean Springs, Mississippi on the beach, downtown and also in an empty warehouse. We used two very different types of scenes to represent the different emotions you feel throughout a breakup. My co-star was Tyson Fields. We’ve known each other since we were little, taking singing lessons at the same place. Now we are both pursuing music, so it was a really neat experience,” Hillary explained to Guitar Girl Magazine.

Written by Jimmy Ritchey (George Strait, Jake Owen) and produced by former Little Texas Member Jeff Huskins, “Beautiful Mistake” follows the 16-year-old singer-songwriter’s single, “All the Good Ones are Crazy,” released in August of 2022 with a music video that has amassed over 227,000 views.

Pro Country Music‘s Justin Loretangeli exclusively premiered a first listen to the bittersweet ballad writing, “A sonic 180 from her last single, ‘All the Good Ones Are Crazy,’ Reese’s newest effort paints an unfortunately all-too-familiar picture of a relationship on the outs where the ending seemed all-but inevitable.”

Today’s Country Magazine’s Jeffrey Kurtis added, “Leaning her modern infused style heavily into a traditional based flare, the instrumentation of the mid-tempo waltz wraps perfectly into a melody that leans against Reese’s voice as she drips a deeply drawled southern accent into certain phrasing to emphasize specifics of the looking back on lost love lyric.”

From the heart of Mississippi, Hillary is a triple threat, singer/songwriter/instrumentalist with a sound all her own that connects across generations of fans and genres. Her vocals and lyrics offer a balance between the charm of a southern belle and the ferocity of a steel magnolia. At only 8-years-old, Hillary emerged on the music scene through a series of viral Facebook videos, which fast-tracked to millions of views and a loyal following of over 300,000 fans. She quickly found herself traveling frequently to Nashville where she has collaborated with industry heavyweights, including Huskins and Dolly Parton’s producer, Kent Wells.
