NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Legendary country vocalist Gene Watson announces his 2020 tour dates. Following a monumental year for his career that included three consecutive No. 1 singles on the gospel charts, the in-demand ‘singers’ singer’ will hit the road for more than 70 dates in 2020, playing his fan-favorite hits to sold-out crowds across the U.S. See full list of dates below, to purchase tickets visit www.GeneWatsonMusic.com/Tour.
“I feel so blessed to continue to hit the road and play for my fans,” said Watson. “I’ve been lucky enough to tour for more than 50 years now, and still feel right at home on the stage with my Farewell Party Band”.”
Watson’s single “Build My Mansion (Next Door To Jesus)” features The Isaacs and was the third single from My Gospel Roots to reach No. 1 on the Cashbox Country Christian Chart and Christian Servant Magazine. Additionally, the single hit the Top 10 on SGNScoops Christian Magazine. My Gospel Roots is available on Watson’s website, iTunes and Amazon.
2020 marked the 40th Anniversary of Watson’s hit “Farewell Party.” The track, recorded in one take and released as the second single off Watson’s album Reflections in 1979, soon became the country legend’s signature song. To celebrate the milestone anniversary, Watson hit the road performing his catalogue of hits, proving once again that he hasn’t lost a note in his incredible multi-octave range.
