NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With “some of the best harmonies ever heard in country music (The Tennessee Star),” Flat River Band releases their down-home anthem, “Load The Wagon,” available everywhere today. Through lyrics like “Change your attitude / Get rid of those blues / Make lemonade / With problems that you’re havin’ / And load the wagon,” the trio delivers a powerful message of resilience, urging listeners to push through challenges with determination and a positive mindset.

With vivid imagery of farm life and a catchy, no-nonsense chorus, the song encourages listeners to “pull up their bootstraps” and tackle life’s challenges head-on. It’s a reminder to focus on what you can control, let go of the small stuff, and keep moving forward. “Load The Wagon” combines traditional country values with a modern message of resilience, wrapped in the band’s signature harmonies.

Chad Sitze of Flat River Band shared, “I was sitting in a barbershop in southeast Missouri and a fella by the name of George Hemby, who was a retired logger, was an avid lover of mules and he had a couple. He came into the shop one day and said Chad, this would be a great title to a song ‘Don’t worry bout the mule, just load the wagon.'”

In June, the trio performed at CMA Fest on the Hard Rock Stage and their previous single, “Home Sweet Home,” ascended to claim the No. 2 spot on the CDX True Indie Chart. The endearing love song, released on Feb. 14, is celebrated as an “ode to the simple act of unity (American Songwriter).”

“Home Sweet Home” follows the band’s prior single, “God Bless the Radio,” which offers an anthemic tribute to the influence of radio on their lives. The group also released “Wings of a White Dove” in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month during May 2023. After experiencing tragic losses of friends and family, the band was inspired to write “Wings of a White Dove,” to raise awareness for mental illnesses. A portion of the proceeds from the single were donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Tennessee (NAMI) in support of their efforts to advocate for those affected by different mental health conditions.
