'Whisperin' Bill Anderson, the sole songwriter in history to write and chart country songs in seven consecutive decades, whose storied career includes membership into country music's most prestigious institutions, will release his 73rd album, The Hits Re-Imagined, July 24. The album includes 10 of the Country Music Hall of Famer's most iconic songs he's written and recorded himself, as well as songs of his made famous by George Strait, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and more. In addition to these fresh, re-imagined hits, the album includes instrumental versions of each track, full track listing below.

While social-distancing guidelines prevent the Grand Ole Opry from going live Friday evenings on SiriusXM Willie's Roadhouse, Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member, Whisperin' Bill Anderson, is hosting a two-hour special as an Opry "House Guest DJ." Anderson will share with listeners stories from his more than 60 years performing on the Opry stage. The country legend hand-picked some of his favorite songs recorded by his friends and fellow Opry members, as well as from his own extensive catalogue. Anderson's set as an Opry "House Guest DJ" at Willie's Roadhouse on SiriusXM will premiere Friday, June 12 at 9 p.m. EST on Channel 59 and re-air throughout the weekend.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame member wrote "Happiness" in 1964 and it became a smash for Sir Ken Dodd overseas. As the Daily Mirror recently reported, celebrities across the U.K. re-recorded "Happiness" as tribute to all those in health service.

Georgia native Bill Anderson returned to his home state to present a scholarship endowment in his name to two Commerce High School seniors. While Anderson started the endowment in 2012, this year marked the first time the Country Music Hall of Famer presented the scholarship in person at the school's Bill Anderson Performing Arts Center.
