Written by Micki Free, Heather Loren Roberts, and Damon Elliott, with music composed by Free, “My American Life” delivers an uplifting message of pride, opportunity, and gratitude. Blending Free’s signature rock-infused sound with contemporary influences, the song encourages listeners to embrace their dreams and recognize the possibilities that come with determination and faith.

Micki shares, “This song is written about being a proud American, with all the blessings, freedom and opportunities we have in this great country! We are very much pro-American and living the American dream! Ya’ll!”

The song’s dynamic production is further elevated by an energetic rap from Grammy Award winner and co-producer Damon Elliott (Saweetie, Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, Britney Spears) and son of the legendary Dionne Warwick, that reinforces the message of self-belief, personal growth, and limitless potential. The result is an inspiring musical journey that bridges generations and genres while honoring the values of perseverance and optimism.

An adopted Comanche and a Cherokee descendant, Micki blends his cultural roots into a powerful and distinctive sound while continuing to uplift underrepresented communities through his foundation and global influence.
