BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mickey Bell, the first clean comedian to sell out StarDome Comedy Club outside of Birmingham, Ala., returns to the legendary venue to tape his new live comedy special on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The event is sponsored by Atlas Rental Company. Tickets are available HERE.
During his last sold-out StarDome appearance, the Birmingham native filmed his debut comedy special, “One Pound At A Time,” which reached No. 2 on the iTunes comedy charts.
Mickey recently signed with Platform Artists for exclusive booking representation. Performing over 150 shows a year, Mickey produces a clean, high-tempo comedy act that is perfect for the entire family. He has toured with Jason Crabb, Chonda Pierce, Mark Lowry, David Phelps, Unspoken and more. On Thursday, Nov. 16, the frequent warm-up comedian for TBN’s “Huckabee,” will tape his first broadcast appearance on the show, slated to air that weekend.
The 2021 Inspirational Country Music Awards Comedian of the Year is also open with audiences about his own struggles, using his platform to advocate for mental health awareness in hopes to help others find laughter through their pain. From being adopted at birth to battling a severe bout with depression, Mickey knows how to speak to any audience about how to bounce back in life. After a moral fall while serving as a pastor, Mickey found himself fired and homeless within 10 minutes. His story of recovery and finding life again will stir the emotions of anyone who has the opportunity to listen. Mickey has also published two inspirational books, “I Am David – A Pastor’s Fall into Grace” and “Reverse the Course of Depression.”
