“I wanted the overall feel to be unlike anything else I had released before, so we decided to have the shoot in Carlsbad, N.M. and Orla, Texas. The song has such a vintage feel to me and wanted the setting to fit that same vibe. The edits capture the dreaminess of the lyric, and I can honestly say that I believe this is the best video/song representation of me to date,” Sanders shared with The Boot.
Taste of Country exclusively premiered a first listen to the “mid-tempo, retro-cool song.” CMChat noted, “The track starts out as a reflective, modern storyteller song set to a more docile, yet captivating beat that seamlessly morphs into a vibrant, confident melody. Written by Sanders, Adam Craig and Dallas Wilson and produced by Jacob Rice, “Make Em Wanna Change” follows “Ruled the World,” which featured his fellow singer-songwriters Hunter Phelps, Ray Fulcher, Cash Campbell, Faren Rachels, Josh Mirenda, Mitch Rossell and Drew Parker. The video, starring Tracy Lawrence, Aaron Tippin, Marty Raybon and Mike McGuire, has received over 1.4 million views. The Lake City, Fla. native moved to Nashville in 2009 where he worked construction to pay the bills while developing his chops as a songwriter.
